We received some exciting news last week, JesterZ Improv has been nominated in two categories for the Phoenix New Times Best of 2009 awards. It is a huge honor to be even nominated for even ONE, but TWO is really exiting! Here are the two categories:

Best Place to see a Comedy Show #79

and,

Best Place for a First Date #42

We would love to win both of these categories. If you think we are the best place to see a comedy show in Phoenix, or the best place for a first date in Phoenix then vote for us! There are a couple of ways you can vote:

1. Visit New Times Best of Phoenix 2009, and vote for us in categories #42 and #79. You have to put your email and name, but you can opt out of all spam.
2. Make Reservations and come down to the show, we will have ballots down here for you to vote with and we will turn them in.
3. Pick a New Times for last Thursday (8/20) or the next two weeks (8/27, 9/3), there will be ballot included in each of these issues. Fill out the ballot and mail it in or take it to any Native New Yorkers.

Voting ends 11:59 PM Sunday September 13th…

JesterZ Improv : The Blog

Improv Comedy : In Blog Form

If you haven’t already read the “Why A Blog?” section please take the time to wander over there and get a good idea of why we are doing a blog.

Done? Okay, moving on.

There are 3 basic topics we will be talking about here on the blog… I am not going to discuss them in great detail here, three post will follow this week giving a more detailed idea of what we will be talking about. I just want to give a quick run down:

First,
JesterZ Improv Comedy – most of you know that JesterZ Improv does 4 shows a weekend (8 & 10 PM, Fri & Sat). We’ll be posting pictures from shows, about upcoming events… insight into your favorite, or least favorite Jester.

Second,
JesterZ Improv Classes – The JesterZ do a whole number of classes at Theater 168. We will also post about different classes, give details about different improv tips and share JesterZ insight into successful techniques used by the JesterZ.

Lastly,
Corporate Events – You know about our weekend shows, but do you know about our Corporate Entertainment, Team Building, Atmosphere Actors Stand-up comedians and so much more…

In short, the JesterZ Blog is going to over a relative smorgasbord of improv information!
